Dance Academy is an Australian teen dance drama television series created by Samantha Strauss and Joanna Werner. The show premiered on May 31, 2010 on ABC1 and ABC3. In early 2012 it premiered on TeenNick. The series follows the lives of eight students in the Dance Academy; Tara Webster, Katrina Karamakov, Ethan Karamakov, Samuel Lieberman, Abigail Armstrong, Christian Reed, Benjamin Tickle, and Grace Whitney.
Season 1 premiered May 31, 2010and season 2 premiered March 12, 2012.
There are 26 episodes in Season 1, 26 episodes in season 2 and 13 in season 3.
Now a film about the series will be held, that will be release in 2017.

Meanwhile, Grace's world implodes when she's rejected by her new friends and Miss Raine confides that her new romance with Marcus has become more serious. Plus, Zach continues to give Christian special treatment by allowing him to participate in a music video Ollie is producing.

Back at the Academy, Kat clashes with the movie's third assistant director, Jamie (Sean Keenan).

Meanwhile, Abigail tries to claim the solo role in the contemporary ballet but is blocked by past disappointment; and Kat's insecurities grow until an inevitable confrontation forces her to see an enemy in a new light.
